九龍城寨被人稱為「三不管」地帶，傳聞「城」裏滿是黑社會，窄巷角落都是娼嫖、賭博、毒品，一切想像得到的罪惡，都在這裏。然而，當加拿大藉紀實攝影師Greg Girard（格雷格‧吉拉德）以及英藉建築攝影師Ian Lambot（林保賢）於80年代尾走進九龍城寨，卻發現傳聞並不準確；可能是被誇大了，可能是時代轉變了，但他們都認為在日照不到的黑暗處，藏着更複雜有趣的故事。在城寨清拆之前幾年，Girard和Lambot不斷到訪，穿梭滿佈電線和水管的狹窄小巷，並紀錄了這個居住了35,000人的奇異空間。Girard和Lambot於1993年出版《City of Darkness》，之後屢次加印和再版，近日將於Blue Lotus gallery展出部分書中收錄的九龍城寨照片。City of Darkness 《黑暗之城》 by Greg Girard & Ian Lambot展覽詳情：日期：2019年11⽉8日至12⽉8日時間：星期三至星期日，11:00am至6:00pm地點：Blue Lotus Gallery／香港上環磅巷28號地下Ian Lambot分享會：日期：2019年11⽉9日（六）時間：4:00pm至6:00pm（作品由Blue Lotus Gallery提供）
