Iron sharpens iron. Choose your friends wisely in university. (Like how?)

1. Hypocrites 偽君子Such kind of persons cast their nets wide just to secure an internship yet they never disclose their options. They will probably ask “Oh really it’s time for application?” If there is one thing I have to say to these people, that would be “Just because I don’t call you on it, it doesn’t mean I’m stupid. Shame on you!”

2. Free-rider

Free-riders

You could even transform the word into a “verb”. For instance, “You think you have contributed? You have simply free-ridden on your council members’ effort!”

There is simply no way to contact them during term time in preparation for the project. The little contribution they have towards the group is so trivial that person started to drop off your radar. At the end of the term you share the same grade with that person. Don’t smash the windows of your professor’s room, please.

3. Hunk/Goddess

Hunk/Goddess

No matter it is infatuation, obsession (or lust), you simply cannot take your eyes off your crush who may be a goddess or a hunk. Everything you do is just to catch the person’s attention. It is perhaps because of the subject your crush is doing, coupled with the person’s charisma. He or she may major in Medicine/Global business (you know, all those competitive subjects leading to a profession.) and look extremely pleasant to you. Your simply cannot stop trying to tease him/her (jokes).

Note: “Goddess” really means 女神, one who is admired by a lot of men chiefly due to her beauty. Sample sentences include “She was one of the screen goddesses who mesmerised tonnes of male audience.” Compared with “hottie”, the latter is normally used to describe a young attractive woman due to her alluring face and body figure.

A “hunk” is used to describe a built and sexually attractive men. Sample sentences include “He’s a typical hunk in our campus: stylish clothing with lots of girls around.”

I bet you must have something exciting to say! Feel free to comment under my post.
