Fiona Apple 將會於《New Yorker Festival》舉行視像演唱會
虛擬演出不是演出嗎？不用出力嗎？都要啊！所以是次演唱會要收費！不過是性格唱作人 Fiona Apple 擔正的話，是值得一看的。演出會在《New Yorker Festival》線上舉行。
Fiona Apple，大家怎也會聽過她的名字。19 歲推出了首張專輯《Tidal》（1996 年），到今年 —— 與前作第四張專輯相隔了整整 6 年後 —— 推出了她實驗性高及幽默感最豐富的專輯《Fetch the Bolt Cutters》：
Fiona Apple 的作品一路以來都是圍繞自己的感情事與人生觀、世界觀，就如當年 20 歲時在領獎台上說出「這是社會是攤屎，不要成為別人想塑造你成為的樣子」，歌曲當然也包括負面情緒甚至遭遇過的性侵等等。
但很多時 Fiona 都以黑色幽默方式去面對或回應。就如 1999 年的第二張專輯，是 Fiona 為在看了《SPIN》雜誌批評她的一篇文章後，寫出了一篇詩，也就將之成為了第二專輯的名稱，《When the Pawn Hits the Conflicts He Thinks Like a King What He Knows Throws the Blows When He Goes to the Fight and He'll Win the Whole Thing 'fore He Enters the Ring There's No Body to Batter When Your Mind Is Your Might So When You Go Solo, You Hold Your Own Hand and Remember That Depth Is the Greatest of Heights and If You Know Where You Stand, Then You Know Where to Land and If You Fall It Won't Matter, Cuz You'll Know That You're Right》在當時以 444 個字母成為了健力士紀錄「最長的專輯名」 （其後被打破），Fiona 說：「我被人嘲笑，但不緊，這事成了我可以自嘲也可以用來開玩笑的事。」
現在專輯會縮寫成《When the Pawn…》。
在 2005 年，Fiona Apple 的唱片公司 Epic 被指不接受 Apple 新一張專輯《Extraordinary Machine》的創作方向，加上監製 Jon Brion 在不少場合都說「唱片公司想有《Tidal》時期的 Apple，但 Apple 給了《Extraordinary Machine》唱片公司》」，加上幾次延遲和重錄，專輯都叫最後推出到。再隔了足足 7 年後，再以詩句命名的第四專輯《The Idler Wheel Is Wiser Than the Driver of the Screw and Whipping Cords Will Serve You More Than Ropes Will Ever Do》也推出了，這個時候的 Fiona Apple，也已是一個「work for fun」的唱作人，不再被 deadline 與「期望」所約束。
來到 2020 年，《Fetch the Bolt Cutters》又是令樂迷久等了 8 年的作品，歌曲實驗性高之餘，也是最內容度高的一張專輯：
